Quality assurance activities

Overview

In response to questions about when quality assurance activities should have ethical review, and to whether some quality assurance activities should be classed as research, AHEC held targeted consultations in 2002. As a result, they developed a document on quality assurance activities in health care. It can also be used outside of health care. It focuses on features of quality assurance that should be considered when deciding whether independent HREC review is required.
